And the Biggest Tablet of the Holiday Season is...Not the iPad 2

That's right the biggest tablet of the holiday season is actually an Android tablet.  The Kindle Fire is currently selling about a million tablets a week.  The Kindle Fire is much easier to use than the iPad but has a lot more free apps.  Now it is still limited compare to most of the other Android tablets out there, which this writer would much rather recommend, but if you just want something to read books, play flash games and browse the web, the Kindle Fire isn't that bad.  What this does confirm however is that so called analyst were wrong when they thought iOS would be the dominant Tablet OS well into the 2013, while now it seems it might not even keep the lead after Q1 of 2012.

In the grand scheme of things iOS vs Android have very different philosophies.  Apple has maintained their philosophy of "It just works".  However the reason why Google is so much more of a successful OS is because it's philosophy took it one step further, "It just works with everything".
